Consumers purchasing digital education services in Korea may be entitled to cooling-off rights under the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce. Eligibility depends on whether the service has begun at your request and whether the nature of the digital content permits withdrawal. Cohort programs with scheduled live sessions may become partially non-refundable once materials are distributed to preserve fairness for other participants.
2. Scope
This policy covers tuition for Northstar Retention Lab courses, workshop intensives, and template bundles sold directly through our invoicing flow. Third-party marketplace purchases must follow the marketplace refund rules. Add-on coaching purchased with custom statements of work follows the cancellation clauses inside those documents when they conflict with general marketing descriptions.
3. Process
Submit refund requests to welcome@systemofreason.one with your full name, enrollment ID, and reason for cancellation. Our customer success lead acknowledges receipt within two business days and may request verification information to prevent fraud. Approved refunds are processed through the original payment method unless technically impossible, in which case we coordinate a domestic bank transfer in KRW.
4. Timeframe
Where statutory cooling-off rights apply and no exception exists, we honor withdrawal requests submitted within fourteen days of purchase before substantial performance begins. After performance begins at your request, partial refunds may be calculated based on consumed sessions or downloaded assets. Processing of approved refunds typically completes within fourteen business days depending on banking rails.
